Game & Watch
Portable LCD games, first game (Ball) released in 1980
Game & Watch games were LCD-based standalone games, such as Ball and Manhole, that also had a clock and alarm function. Later models varied wildly in design. The multi-screen models helped inspire the two-screen design of the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS consoles.
Please note, the games have been organised by release order.
This may cause the page to look disorderly, as various models were released concurrently.

Game & Watch "Silver/Gold" Models
The earliest models of the Game & Watch series, these models notably feature a luxurious silver or gold metal face panel, with chic accent colours that differ depending on the game. All of these models feature 2-4 red gameplay buttons, a "GAME A" and GAME B" button to change the difficulty or game mode, a "TIME" button that allows the console to be used like a clock, and a small "ACL" button that clears the data and scores currently saved. These consoles can be powered by two LR43 or SR43 watch batteries and feature a digital clock display that doubles as a score display when playing games. The later "Gold" models add an "ALARM" button that allows you to set an alarm at a particular time, and a built-in wire loop stand that can be pulled out to allow the console to stand on a flat surface.

Game & Watch "Fishing Computer" Model
A genuinely bizarre model of Game & Watch. Only one type was ever released, and it was never explicitly released as a Nintendo product, but rather a product by a company called Telko. This type of "Game & Watch" highly resembles the "Multi Screen" models, with its clamshell design and dual-screen setup. However, the only buttons it shares with other Game & Watch consoles are the "ACL" and "Alarm" buttons for using the clock functions. Aside from that, this console has 8 small buttons for setting the current season, the water temperature, the water depth, the time of day, the type of water body, nearby terrain, water clarity and wind strength, and after setting all of these conditions, a larger "Compute" button is used to determine what type of bait/lure the fisherman should use, along with how the fisherman should reel the fish in.

Squish
Release date:
US: 17 Apr 1986
EU: 17 Apr 1986
System:
Game & Watch (Multi Screen)
Developer: Nintendo
Genre: Action
A maze game that plays similarly to the NES game "Devil World". The character on the top screen will point in different directions, which moves the maze around on the bottom screen. It's your job to move through the maze without getting crushed. GAME B adds enemies that can be defeated for points, but revive if not defeated quickly enough.
Game & Watch "Crystal Screen" Models
A more standard model of Game & Watch, these models resemble a wider version of the "New Wide Screen" series, except the screen is completely transparent! It's unknown if this has any real benefit outside of being a novelty, but the game graphics appear quite crisp against the transparent background. The plastic used to accent the design of these models is also made of clear, transparent plastic to emphasise the unique appeal of the "Crystal Screen" series. This console uses a single CR2025 battery for power, possibly due to its much thinner design. Interestingly, none of the games in this series have buttons for GAME A or GAME B; they simply have a single "GAME" button for starting the game. This was the last series of classic Game & Watch consoles released in America and Europe.
