Portable console released in 2011

This console started the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, which brought stereoscopic 3D visuals to players without the need for special glasses. Except for the Nintendo 2DS and New Nintendo 2DS XL systems, which opted to remove the feature.

New Nintendo 2DS XL

The New Nintendo 2DS XL is similar in size to the New Nintendo 3DS, but features a more streamlined and aesthetically-pleasing design. It has all the same features as the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL, but without the 3D feature. This provided a cheaper alternative to the other New 3DS models, for players that weren't particularly keen on the 3D effect.
