Portable console released in 2011

This console started the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, which brought stereoscopic 3D visuals to players without the need for special glasses. Except for the Nintendo 2DS and New Nintendo 2DS XL systems, which opted to remove the feature.

New Nintendo 3DS XL

The New Nintendo 3DS XL is similar in design to the New Nintendo 3DS, but is generally larger. A notable difference between the standard New Nintendo 3DS and this XL model, is the XL model can't have interchangeable custom face plates. Aside from that, a few buttons and cosmetic features are moved around to adapt to the new size increase, but this is largely the same console as the New Nintendo 3DS.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL charging stand was not included with the console, but was released on the same day. The AC adapter connects to a port underneath, and the console is slotted into the charging stand to charge.
