Welcome to Luckless Heaven! This website is (soon to be) the biggest encyclopedia for Nintendo-related information on the Internet. Currently under construction.

Other Hardware

This is a page for other miscellaneous Nintendo hardware. This includes consoles that were more side projects for Nintendo, such as the Nintendo Classic Mini micro consoles and Pokemon devices, and hardware that was intended for use across multiple consoles, such as amiibo and the Nintendo Wi-Fi router.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter

The Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter is a wireless router developed in collaboration with Buffalo, released only in Japan in 2008. The router was made to ensure compatibility with the Nintendo DS and Wii consoles, allow players to easily connect to the Internet and play online games. The router can also be used with other devices, but compatability isn't guaranteed. The router was pretty advanced at the time for not only having Buffalo's AOSS system, which streamlines configuration of WLAN connections for the Nintendo DS and Wii, but also for allowing multiple encryption methods to be used simultaneously for different devices. However, many modern routers allow for multi-security now, and Nintendo's Wi-Fi Network Adapter now has many security flaws, prompting Nintendo to dissuade people from using the router in 2022.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter AC Adapter

The AC Adapter for the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter is very similar in design to the Nintendo DS Lite's AC Adapter, though in a light-grey colour with a different connector. This AC Adapter is pretty famous for being by-far the most common Nintendo AC Adapter, as not only was it used for the Wi-Fi Network Adapter, but also the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL, all six models of the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Zone Box.

This model of the AC Adapter seems to only be used for the iQue DSi and iQue 3DS XL, Chinese variants of the Nintendo DSi and 3DS XL. It's unknown if there's any real difference between this and the original model, aside from using the Chinese plug style.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter LAN Cable

The LAN cable for the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter is a bright white 50cm ethernet cable. It's a pretty standard cable and can be replaced by a longer cable, given its relatively short length, or used with other devices.
