Balloon Fight


Action series started in 1984


A series of games where the objective is to fly around and burst the balloons of your similarly flight-based enemies, and to carefully control your character past difficult to avoid obstacles, using the game's momentum-based movement and controls.

An action game in which you fly around using balloons and defeat enemies by popping their balloons. Notably different from the later released and more recognised NES/Famicom version, this version features vertical scrolling, allowing players to really soar through the skies.

Fly around terrain using balloons to ram into enemies, popping their balloons. Like the arcade game, this game features a multiplayer mode that can be played either cooperatively or competitively. Unlike the arcade game, this game also features the "Balloon Trip" game mode, a single player mode focusing on dodging obstacles.

An adaptation of the classic "Balloon Fight" game on NES. Fly through the sky and collect 25 balloons in each of the eight phases to face off against the fearsome leader of the Sky Pirates, Oiram Repus. Bonus stages can be accessed by landing on an island at the end of a phase. This game lacks a GAME A and GAME B.

A sequel to "Balloon Fight". After Jim was blown away by the wind, Alice, Jim's older sister, grabs onto some balloons and flies away to give chase. This game features a two player mode and "Balloon Trip" mode, like the original NES/Famicom game. In multiplayer, the second player plays as Samm, Alice's rival.

Chinkle no Balloon Fight DS

A remake of the classic NES/Famicom game "Balloon Fight", released exclusively via Club Nintendo to Platinum members in Japan. The main character has been swapped for Tingle, a popular side character from "The Legend of Zelda" series. The game allows for up to four players to play at the same time, with DS Download Play as an option.
