Classic Golf
Sports series started in 1984
A basic series of golf games released for Nintendo's early consoles. Due to golf's focus more on technical aspects and slow gameplay than other sports, the mechanics translate perfectly to videogames.

Players compete for the best total score over 18 hours. The left side of the screen displays the view directly ahead of your golfer, while the right side displays a bird's eye view of the course. Once you're on the green, the right side of the screen will even show the curvature of the green using arrow patterns.

VS. Stroke & Match Golf

A full port of the NES/Famicom "Golf" game that arcade-goers can enjoy. This game includes more music and sound effects, and while the courses are mostly the same, many have been changed to be more difficult, especially in the Japanese version of the game, such as making bunkers, water hazards and out-of-bounds areas larger.

VS. Ladies Golf

An alternate version of the above game. Instead of playing as a male golfer, you play as a female golfer, although the gameplay is identical. A few courses are reused from the original NES/Famicom game and are tweaked, but most courses in this version are entirely unique.

This game has a total of 36 holes, with 18 belonging to a "USA" course and the other 18 belonging to a "Japan" course. Much like previous games, this game features a dynamic wind system that changes strength and direction each round, giving the gameplay a realistic feel.
