Sports series started in 1994


A series of baseball games created under the name of famous former Seattle Mariners player, Ken Griffey Jr., and with the license of the Major League Baseball. Due to this license, these games featured real stadiums, real teams and some real players, including Ken Griffey Jr..

A baseball game with real stadiums and real teams, although due to quirky licensing issues, the players are fictitious. The game allows you to rename players as you please and these fake players have stats based on their real-world counterparts from the 1993 Major League Baseball season, allowing you to circumvent the licensing issues.

An alternate attempt at a licensed baseball game from Rare instead of Software Creations. This game similarly features real stadiums and real teams with fake players, and is notable for being one of the first sports games to feature alternate uniforms based whether the team is playing in their home stadium or away at another team's stadium.

An interesting Game Boy follow-up to Software Creations' original baseball game, largely developed by a single person. This is the first Ken Griffey Jr. baseball game to have full licensing for player names, allowing you to play as real players with stats based on the 1996 MLB season. Due to cartridge space, only one stadium can be played.

Both a faster-paced and more complex baseball game, players can choose to play a full season of baseball, participate in a World Series championship or simply play an exhibition match. The gameplay features different methods of pitching and batting and there's a realistic injury/fatigue system to balance more powerful pitches.

Largely a direct sequel to the previous Nintendo 64 game, this game features much of the same gameplay with some new additions like the "Home-Run Derby" mode, a player creator and the ability to play games at night.
